We actually parked in both lots before. The parking lot above the air museum building had a path leading down to it was mostly made of dirt and gravel when my family visited the museum. However, this parking lot gives you a good scenic overview of the airfield. There are historical markers to read nearby leading down to the airfield. Check google maps to see how the parking lot is set up and if the path is paved and accessible for everyone's enjoyment. I hope you enjoy the visit and get some great memorable pictures too.
