The series, which is titled “Worst Cooks in America: Talented and Terrible,” paid tribute to the late chef and Central New York native, Anne Burrell at the end of the first episode. Burrell co-hosted this new season with fellow celebrity chef Gabe Bertaccini.

Six weeks after Anne Burrell’s untimely death, she made her final television debut as a mentor on the beloved series she’s hosted since 2010. Food Network honored the celebrity chef with a touching tribute on the season 29 premiere of “Worst Cooks in America” on Monday, July 28.

Burrell had starred on the reality cooking show since its debut in 2010, serving as a mentor to some of the “worst cooks” each season. The 29th season of the show, subtitled “Talented and Terrible,” was filmed before Burell’s death on June 17. The debut episode of the new season airs July 28 at 9 p.m. EDT on Food Network.
