Schools and universities across the country are recovering from an outage tied to a cyberattack that knocked down Canvas.
Canvas, a cloud-based learning management platform used by thousands of schools and universities, is back up after it was disabled for hours May 7.
After a cybersecurity attack on Canvas, classroom software, Boise State canceled Friday exams and said this will not impact final grades.
The status of Canvas according to Instructure is unclear. The website states as of 11:17 p.m. EDT on May 7, "Canvas is now available for most users," but Canvas LMS, the platform as a whole, is currently listed as "under maintenance."
Access to Canvas was restored to Ohio State students May 8. Some personal data was stolen in the incident, according to Instructure, the vendor.
