Lauri Markkanen and Finland beat Georgia today, 93-79, to advance to the EuroBasket Final Four. Lauri Markkanen was great once again, scoring 17 points on 7/12 shooting from the field and 5/7 from three. He also grabbed 6 rebounds, but probably his most electric play was this assist to Miikka Muurinen, aka Slim Jesus.

By Philip O'Connor RIGA (Reuters) -Point guard Dennis Schroeder scored 26 points and dished out 12 assists as Germany blazed past Finland 98-86 to book their place in Sunday's Eurobasket final, bringing the remarkable run of the Finns to a shuddering halt.

The Finnish team made the quarterfinals at EuroBasket 2022 and lost to Spain, the eventual champions. However, that was the first time the country had advanced as far as the quarterfinals in a EuroBasket tournament since 1967 — Finland hosted that year’s competition and finished sixth.

Jokic had 33 points and eight rebounds, but Serbia shot just 30.6% from 3. Markkanen had 29 points and eight boards in the win.
