Ford issued a recall for nearly 150,000 Broncos made from 2021 to 2024 on January 17. The affected 149,449 units could suffer from a fault in the rear suspension componentry, potentially leading to detachment and some really dangerous driving conditions as a result.

Ford has recalled nearly 150,000 Bronco SUVs built between 2021 and 2024 over a possible suspension issue. The problem stems from the rear shock absorbers of some models, which could fail prematurely and detach. This defect not only endangers the vehicle owner but also other road users.

Ford Motor Co. is recalling more than 270,000 Broncos and Mavericks due to a power problem that can cause vehicles to stop unexpectedly or fail to start.

Ford is recalling 149,449 examples of its body-on-frame Bronco because of rear shocks that can fail due to corrosion. This recall only affects Broncos with external reservoir shocks, which includes Badlands and Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch package. Ford says the remedy is under development, and that it will notify owners by mail.

There is a new recall at Ford, this time covering a very specific slice of the Bronco trim walk and concerning the possible failure of critical suspension pieces. The company doesn’t yet have a fix for the problem.
