President Donald Trump has nominated Gaynor along Sylvester Stallone, George Strait, Michael Crawford and Kiss to receive Kennedy Center Honors, the first honoring for his administration.

Tom Cruise was reportedly on the shortlist to receive a medal during the 48th Kennedy Center Honors — and allegedly turned down the offer.

Trump explained he personally greenlit each honoree, and made it known that some didn’t make the cut.
