Everyone is expecting Brock Purdy to get paid hundreds of millions of dollars in a soon-to-arrive contract extension with the San Francisco 49ers. Except, offensive coordinator Klay Kubiak just made things a little weird.

Mac Jones' presence with the San Francisco 49ers continues to raise eyebrows as starting quarterback Brock Purdy remains in the final year of his inexpensive rookie contract heading into the second weekend of May.

The San Francisco 49ers have not yet signed Brock Purdy to a contract extension. With that said, it appears the front office and coaching staff is willing to play hardball. Dianna Russini of The Athletic previously reported that Purdy and the 49ers are "moving in a really good direction" as
