As spotted by VGC on January 9, the Steam and Epic Store pages for The Last of Us Part 2 went live recently and both pages include confirmation that, yup, Sony is still forcing people to log in to a PSN account to play its latest PlayStation ports. Yes, even when the game is a single-player only adventure, like The Last of Us Part 2.

Sony has signalled that The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered on PC requires a PSN account three months before the game’s release on Steam. As spotted by VGC, the Steam page for Naughty Dog’s single-player adventure includes the now-standard Sony requirement for a PlayStation Network account.
