Poland briefly deploys planes in airspace due to threat of drone strikes in nearby parts of Ukraine
Polish and allied aircraft were deployed in a “preventive” operation in Poland's airspace Saturday because of a threat of drone strikes in neighbouring areas of Ukraine. An alert was issued, which lasted around two hours before being cancelled.
The incursion into Poland deepened longstanding fears that the three-year war between Poland’s neighbors could precipitate a wider conflict.
