New York’s Catholic leaders have denounced President Donald Trump for his artificial intelligence-generated image of himself as the pope, reflecting public outcry about the insensitivity of sharing such a photo in the wake of Pope Francis’ death.

U.S. Cardinal Timothy Dolan said on Sunday that President Donald Trump’s posting of an AI-generated photo showing himself as the pope "wasn’t good" but declined to say whether the White House should apologise to offended Catholics.

The DNC announced a new pressure campaign targeting Republican Reps. Tom Barrett of Michigan, Don Bacon of Nebraska, Mike Lawler of New York and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania.
