Two U.S. lawmakers sponsoring a bill to impose tough sanctions on Russia over its war on Ukraine said on Saturday they will urge fellow lawmakers this week to tie their bill to must-pass legislation on keeping the federal government operating.
Kirk, one of America's most prominent conservative commentators and a close political ally of President Donald Trump, was shot and killed at a speaking engagement at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

A fire has been put out at the Kirishi oil refinery in Russia's northwest, one of the country's largest, after debris fell from a downed drone, Alexander Drozdenko, the governor of the Leningrad region said on Sunday.
Drones in Poland and GPS jamming attributed to Russia have intensified a debate over whether the West should impose stiffer penalties for such “hybrid warfare.”
