A homeless man suspected of attempting to start a fire with a “flamethrower” was bundled to the ground and zip-tied by Angelenos as wildfires continued to spread.

Despite the snow, TDOT cameras showed steady traffic on the I-55 and Hernando DeSoto bridges. Streams for other routes showed minimal disruptions.

The best advice from officials this weekend is to travel only if necessary. Crews are focusing on bridges, overpasses and high-elevation areas, which tend to freeze first.
