Actor Terence Stamp, who played the arch-villain General Zod in the Hollywood hits 'Superman' and 'Superman II', died this morning aged 87, his family have revealed.

He was best known for his role as the arch-villain General Zod in the Superman films of the late 1970s and early 80s.
