TOOELE, Utah — An early Wednesday morning crash involving a motorcyclist slowed traffic for a large part of the morning. According to Utah Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was critically injured in the wreck.

A motorcyclist was flown to a hospital with extremely critical injuries early Wednesday after a vehicle struck his motorcycle on eastbound Interstate 80 in Tooele County, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Placer County were closed after a big rig caught fire Tuesday. Video released by the California Highway Patrol Gold Run division shows crews around the truck, which has apparent burn damage.

A 41-year-old driver was killed after he crashed into the back of a disabled truck on Interstate 80 in Roxbury early Friday, officials said. Michael Murphy was driving east at 5:20 a.m. when he hit the truck, which was broken down in the right lane, State Police said.
