An Irish bull destined for the slaughterhouse because he appears to be gay has been saved following a campaign supported by the co-creator of "The Simpsons", animal rights activists said Tuesday.

Animals have been part of The Simpsons landscape since Snowball I was introduced in the shorts. In its 37 years on air, we watched plenty of animal episodes advocating for their rights and well-being.
