The National Weather Service has put out a flurry of advisories due to the cold and potential for snow in Virginia.

Very cold wind chills around zero to five below for most of the WJZ viewing area. Areas with highest impact will be Central, Northeast & Northern Maryland... along with the District of Columbia and into Northern Virginia.

The WJZ First Alert Weather Team has issued First Alert Weather Days for dangerous cold and bitter & brutal wind chills through midweek. By Tuesday night, low temperatures will drop into the mid-single digits across the area,
