Zhang Weili arrived in the UFC on this day in 2018, and her journey to the Octagon had not come easy. In seven years under the UFC banner, Zhang has established herself as a leading name in the race for GOAT status at 115 pounds courtesy of two title reigns.

In a move that reshaped the women’s strawweight division, the division’s longtime champion Zhang Weili vacated the 115-pound title back in August. She did so in order to pursue flyweight glory against Valentina Shevchenko in a superfight at UFC 322.

In the main event, Makhachev will battle welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena. Makhachev won the lightweight championship in 2022 and successfully defended the title four times before vacating to move to welterweight. Dealla Maddalena will be making his first defense of the title he won in May with a decision win over Belal Muhammad.
