Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said Wednesday morning that J.J. McCarthy would have a limited practice. The Vikings’ injury report confirms the quarterback indeed was limited. Max Brosmer took first-team reps as McCarthy remains in concussion protocol.
McCarthy, the former Michigan quarterback, was cleared to take part in individual drills but not full-team work.
After last week's dissapointing performance against the Packers, the Vikings placed McCarthy in concussion protocol on Sunday night. He finished the entire game 12 of 19 for 87 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions, and he began feeling symptoms on the trip home according to head coach Kevin O'Connell.
J.J. McCarthy is dealing with yet another injury. This time, he is in the NFL's concussion protocol and his status for Week 13 is murky as a result.
Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice as he returns from a concussion. He was injured in the team’s Week 9 loss to the Broncos and has missed the past three games. Coach DeMeco Ryans said Stroud remains in concussion protocol.
