The NBA Draft Lottery provided plenty of fireworks on Monday night. The Dallas Mavericks received the No. 1 overall pick despite having just a 1.8% chance of doing so. Perhaps just as shockingly, the San Antonio Spurs obtained the No. 2 pick, with the Philadelphia 76ers getting the third overall pick.
There are two rounds in the draft. The first round features 30 picks and the second round has 29. There are typically 30 picks per round, but the New York Knicks were docked their 2025 second-rounder after the league found they had tampered with Jalen Brunson leading up to 2022 free agency.
