An Oregon university says Nike co-founder Phil Knight and his wife Penny Knight have pledged a record $2 billion to its cancer center

Oregon Health & Science University said the couple’s donation would be the largest single gift to a higher-learning institution in the United States.

Phil Knight, the co-founder and chairman of Nike, made a record-breaking donation this week that should make plenty of people smile. Knight and his wife, Penny, gifted $2 billion to the Oregon Health & Science University’s Knight Cancer Institute.
