CARDIFF, Wales (AP) — Oasis ended a 16-year hiatus on Friday with a punchy, powerful trip through one of Britpop’s greatest songbooks, kicking off a reunion tour in Cardiff, Wales to a crowd ecstatic for the band’s 1990s hits.

Britpop icons Oasis reunited on stage for the first time in 16 years, launching their long-awaited reunion tour with a massive concert in Cardiff, Wales.

The show was the first of the Live ‘25 tour, which will run for 41 dates - 19 of which are in the U.K. and Ireland. The group will perform Saturday night (July 5) in Cardiff before heading to Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin; the tour will then run through North America, Asia and Australia and conclude in São Paolo, Brazil, on Nov. 23.
