NBA veteran Marcus Smart agreed to a contract buyout with the Washington Wizards and plans to sign a two-year, $11 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers after clearing waivers, according to ESPN.
The Heat traded Highsmith (knee) to the Wizards along with a 2032 second-round pick in exchange for a protected 2026 second-round pick, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
