President Donald Trump stood with one of San Francisco’s top tech tycoons inside the White House on Tuesday to announce a $500 billion artificial intelligence project, dubbed “Stargate.” Trump held a press conference alongside Sam Altman of OpenAI and Larry Ellison of Oracle to reveal to hefty investments for creating infrastructure to power

The project will entail a joint venture between Oracle, Open AI and Softbank with the promise of investing nearly $500 billion into artificial intelligence infrastructure over the next four years. Other partners also include Nvidia, Microsoft and ARM— companies that have all been paramount to the significant AI boom in recent years.

President Trump announced a major AI infrastructure investment of “at least $500 billion,” signaling a willingness to work alongside large tech companies.

The joint venture or alliance, called Stargate, "will invest $500 billion, at least, in AI infrastructure in the United States," Trump said.
