Sami Zayn will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. Kevin Owens attacked Zayn and hit him with a piledriver on the February 3rd episode of WWE RAW. In doing so, he injured Zayn’s neck and briefly put him on the shelf.

Sami Zayn suffered a brutal and humiliating loss in an unsanctioned match against Kevin Owens in front of their home crowd at the Elimination Chamber PLE.

Sami Zayn ultimately lost his Unsanctioned Match with Kevin Owens, a contest which featured a brawl around the arena, multiple table spots, a couple of ref bumps, and a barbed wire chair. Owens picked up the pinfall win following multiple Apron Powerbombs to Zayn.

Sami Zayn had a terrible night at the WWE Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event where he battled Kevin Owens.

WWE announced that Sami Zayn is "out indefinitely" following WWE Elimination Chamber. Michael Cole announced that Zayn reaggravated his neck injury, nerve issues, and spinal issues in his unsanctioned match against Kevin Owens. The injuries originally stemmed from Owens delivering a package piledriver on Zayn on the February 3rd episode of WWE Raw.
