Paramount has decided not to go ahead with another season of the Frasier reboot. The sitcom, a revival of a 1990s and 2000s series of the same name, premiered on Paramount+ in 2023 with much fanfare.

Frasier will not be returning for a third season of its revived run, after the show was cancelled by Paramount Plus. The streamer doesn’t release too much in the way of viewership figures, but how Frasier has been canned suggests it’s all down to the limited popularity of the show's recent return.

Despite the disappointing cancellation news, it has been reported by Deadline that the producer of the series, CBS Studios, plans to shop Frasier to other outlets. So, season 3 may not be coming to Paramount+ but there is the possibility that it could pop up elsewhere.

Paramount+ has cancelled the Frasier reboot, starring Kelsey Grammer as psychiatrist Frasier Crane, after two seasons. CBS Studios, which produces the sitcom, will shop the series, which debuted in October 2023, to other platforms, Variety reports.

The original Frasier ran for 11 seasons on NBC, from 1993 to 2004. It won 37 Primetime Emmy Awards and was among the most-watched sitcoms of the 1990s.
