Dashcam video from the Mount Pleasant Police Department shows a lightning strike near an intersection in South Carolina. Hundreds lost power, and no injuries were reported, according to officials.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department posted the video to their Facebook page on Monday. In the video, lightning appears to strike a power line, causing flames to burst into the air. Another smaller explosion appears across the street. “A bit too much excitement for a Monday,” the police department said in their Facebook post.
