A heat advisory is back for the Metroplex, as well as counties to the North and East. The alert, issued by the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, will start at noon Monday and continue through 7 p.m. Tuesday. It warns of heat index values up to 107 degrees, which increases the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Oklahoma City is under a heat advisory with temperatures feeling like 104 degrees, and residents are advised to stay cool and hydrated.
As we enter a new workweek, the heat and humidity are climbing. High temperatures on Tuesday will be in the upper 90s. We are likely to approach 100 degrees both Wednesday and Thursday. With that being said, the WFAA Weather Alert Days may be extended into later in the workweek.
