Venus, Saturn, Jupiter and Mars are all visible after sunset, but social media claims about it being a rare "planetary alignment" are not correct. Here's how to see it.

Six planets are set to align Tuesday evening, four of which will be visible to the naked eye, according to astronomers. NASA refers to this phenomenon as a planet parade, and there are a few good viewpoints here in San Diego County.

Venus and Saturn are currently in conjunction, meaning the planets appear close together in the night sky from Earth. These two planets are visible in the southwest sky.

Officials said that the planet parade will be visible from January 21 to January 31. Visitors will be able to witness the rare event on all days, except Monday, from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
