White Castle announced it will open its first Texas restaurant at the Grandscape development in The Colony, marking the burger chain's entry into the DFW area.

For the first time in its more-than-100-year history, White Castle is coming to Texas. The burger chain is opening its first store in the Lone Star state at the Grandscape shopping mall in The Colony, a company spokesperson confirmed to the Star-Telegram on Thursday. The restaurant is expected to open in summer 2026.

The new location in The Colony will be White Castle’s first restaurant in Texas. Social media has been buzzing about the new North Texas location, with many saying they’ve driven to Missouri or Kentucky to try the sliders. It's not yet clear if the company is planning to open any other locations in North Texas or other parts of the state.
