Griner played 30 minutes and finished with 21 points, eight rebounds and two assists in Atlanta’s narrow 91-90 win over Indiana. She shot 8-for-13 from the field and knocked down 5-of-6 free throws. Though she fouled out late in the game, Griner was dominant during her time on the court.

Griner greeted Fever star Sophie Cunningham, who played alongside the Dream center with the Phoenix Mercury. Before Griner made the move to Atlanta, she played for the Mercury from 2013 to 2024, while Cunningham took the court in Phoenix from 2019 to 2024.

The Fever actually took the lead with 21 seconds left on an Aliyah Boston free throw (90-89), but Rhyne Howard hit two free throws with nine seconds left to give the Dream a 91-90 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
