SUNRISE, Fla. -- Spencer Knight made 34 saves for his second shutout of the season, and the Florida Panthers won 3-0 against the Anaheim Ducks at Amerant Bank Arena on Saturday. Jesper Boqvist, Anton Lundell, and Gustav Forsling scored for Florida (27-17-3), which has won two of three and visits Anaheim on Tuesday. Knight also had an assist.

The Anaheim Ducks wrapped up a disappointing road trip with a matchup, the first game of a home-and-home series, against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers. The Ducks were coming off a 4-3 shootout loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday, which brought their point tally to three on their season-long six-game road trip.

There was a festive mood inside the Florida Panthers locker room on Saturday night. It’s not terribly surprising, as the Panthers had just defeated the Anaheim Ducks 3-0 in front of a packed Amerant Bank Arena.

The Ducks dropped their third straight game, finishing their six-game trip with a 1-4-1 record after a 3-0 loss to Florida.
