President Ramaphosa called the accusation against his police minister a "grave national security concern" after a top cop alleged interference in a political assassination probe.

The report says that trust and confidence in public institutions are currently at their lowest levels since similar surveys were conducted in 2019, 2021, and 2022.

Mr Benjamin said that of the 96,838 candidates slated for the mop-up examination, results had been released for 11,161 candidates who sat for the test.
