The Texas Rangers made an unexpected decision on two-time World Series MVP Corey Seager before a game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Rangers beat the first-place Toronto Blue Jays 10-4 Sunday afternoon at the Rogers Centre to stave off a sweep and end what had been a four-game losing streak. The win, only their fifth this month, was anchored by the team’s stars.

The Rangers had five hits through the first two innings tonight and all that amounted to was one run. By the time they scored again in the sixth inning, the score was 4-1 Kansas City. The Rangers also didn’t draw a walk, had one extra base hit all night, and ultimate didn’t do enough with their opportunities with runners on base.

Texas would have a few wins here and then a few losses there. But coming out of All-Star break, the Rangers are 50-49 and third place in the division, six-and-a-half games back of the Houston Astros.
