Trae Young's time as an Atlanta Hawk has officially come to an end. On Wednesday, the four-time All-Star was traded from the only NBA team he's ever known to the Washington Wizards for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert.

The Washington Wizards captured the attention of the NBA world for the first time in a long while earlier this week in facilitating the first major trade of the season. They brought a household name in Trae Young over from the Atlanta Hawks, and all it cost was CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in a standard two-for-one swap.
The Atlanta Hawks are trading Trae Young to the Washington Wizards, according to ESPN. The Wizards will send CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert to Atlanta in the deal. There is reportedly no draft compensation in the deal.
DruStar: “Just like the marketplace for Trae Young had dried up to the point where you could acquire him for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert. I don't think the market for Ja Morant is anything beyond like matching salary and maybe some filler.” - @SIChrisMannix
The other Wizard that I see benefiting the most from Young’s presence is rookie guard Tre Johnson. Much can already be said about Johnson’s rookie campaign, as the 19-year-old has proven to be one of the best shooters in the NBA already, despite still finding his footing.
Washington is in the midst of a major rebuild and needs star power, and the four-time All-Star might just fit the bill. The revamped Hawks are looking better with Jalen Johnson as the front man.
